Qualifications

• Bachelors/Masters of Engineering in Chemical from ICT or in any other disciplines from reputed college/universities.

• This position requires the ability to build strong working relationships with diverse groups.

• Able to communicate and relate well with those internal and external to the company.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed.

• Proficiency in Microsoft applications, such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, is required as well as Share point applications and sites.

Description

This program will provide opportunities for young, dynamic individuals to make careers at Dow in Manufacturing.

This MEDP program is for one year on the regular employment of the company. During the program,

  • Each candidate will work with a minimum two-site ( 6 months each).
  • Each candidate will be assigned a project coach from each site.
  • Each candidate will be given a project to deliver in 6 months in addition to the training schedule assigned.
  • The candidate will be exposed to all functions and work processes related to Manufacturing and Engineering.
  • The candidate will also be exposed to the Commercial work process and will get a glimpse of the business.
  • Upon successful completion of the one-year MEDP program, candidates will be awarded a certificate of merit and a job at any of our plants (Taloja-Mumbai, Lote- Ratnagiri, and Chennai).

Production Run Plant (Manufacturing)

Employees in Production provide daily technical support to plant operating personnel in order to maintain the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of a manufacturing facility. Key areas of emphasis are environmental, health, and safety (EH&S) performance, product quality, maintaining & optimizing operating costs, and all aspects of plant technical performance such as yield, energy efficiency, production rates, and asset utilization.

Maintenance (Manufacturing)

  • Employees in Maintenance provide engineering support to solve equipment-related issues that reduce overall production rates in manufacturing facilities.
  • Maintenance/Reliability engineers provide technical expertise that results in the increase of mechanical reliability of equipment in the production unit.
  • Maintenance engineers support maintenance and repair of mechanical equipment. They work closely with the plant maintenance group to develop the best immediate repair methods for equipment.
  • Reliability Engineers utilize reliability and predictive tools & technology to help prevent unexpected equipment outages that minimize the long-term cost of ownership of a manufacturing facility. Reliability Engineers lead and/or participate in root cause failure investigations of broken-down mechanical equipment and work on improving operating discipline to maintain long-term equipment reliability of Dow assets.

Environment Health & Safety (Manufacturing)

Continuous Improvement Engineer : (Technology Centres)

Dow improvement engineers serve as a vital resource for operations by applying technical and organizational skills to drive the plant-level continuous improvement program targeted at delivering maximum value from assets while continuously improving process safety and production efficiency. Improvement engineers generate tremendous value for Dow through their technical and financial knowledge , skills and ability.
