Applications are invited from Qualified candidates for appointment from the Composite Method Promotion or Deputation (including short-term-contract) to the post of Senior Scientific Officer Grade II, Group’A’, from the Regional Drugs Testing Laboratory, Chandigarh, Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation, Directorate General of Health Services, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare.

Designation: Senior Scientific Officer Grade II, Group ‘A’

Pay Band:

Pay Band 3, Rs. 15600-39100 + Tier Cover Rs. 5400 (pre-revised) [Level 10 (Rs. 56,100-177500) (revised)]

The pay and other terms and conditions of deputation (including short-term-contract) will be controlled in compliance with DOPT’s O.M. No. 6/8/2009- Estt. (Pay-II) dated 17.06.2010 as amended from time to time.

Qualifications:

Officers under the Central or State Government or Recognized Research Institutions or Public Sector Undertakings or SemiGovernment or Autonomous or Statutory organisations:

(a)(I) holding analogous post on regular basis in the parent cadre/ department; or

(ii) with 2 years’ service rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis

in posts in pay band -2 –Rs.9300-34800 with regular pay of Rs. 4800 (pre-revised),

[Level 8 (Rs. 47,600-1,51,100) (revised)] or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department; or

(iii) with three years’ service rendered after appointment thereto on a regular basis in posts in pay band-2, Rs. 9300-34800 with grade pay of Rs. 4600 (pre-revised), Level 7 [(Rs.44900-142400) (revised)] or equivalent in the parent cadre or Department;

(b) owning the following educational qualifications and expertise:-

(i) Master’s degree in Chemistry or Biochemistry or Pharmacy or Microbiology or Bacteriology or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Pharmacology in a recognized University or Associateship of the Institute of Chemists.

(ii) Three years’ expertise in bio-assay of Chemical or drugs and Physio-Chemical testing of cosmetics and drugs from Government Drugs Testing Laboratories or scientific organisations such as research centers or private labs accepted by the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration of Laboratories.

Note. I- The Departmental Senior Scientific Assistant in pay band two with grade pay of Rs. 4600 (pre-revised), Level Level 7 [(Rs.44900-142400) (revised)] with three years’ regular service will also be considered alongside outsiders and if he or she’s chosen, the article will be deemed to have been fulfilled by promotion.

Note. 2: The Departmental officers in the feeder category that are in direct line of promotion won’t qualify for consideration for appointment by deputation. In the same way, the deputationists will not be eligible for consideration for appointment by promotion.

Notice:3– The period of deputation (including short term contract) including the period of deputation (including short term contract) in a different ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the exact same or another orgnaisation or Section of the Central Government shall ordinarily not to exceed three decades. The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short term contract) will be not exceeding fifty six years according to the final date of receipt of all applications.

Cadre authorities/Heads of Department are asked to forward applications of qualified and willing candidates whose services may be spared for appointment to this post from the Composite Method Promotion or Deputation (including short-term-contract) in order to reach the undersigned within 60 days from the date of publication of the ad in the Employment News. LIST OF DOCUMENTS TO BE SENT ALONG WITH THE APPLICATION:

1. Application in prescribed format — Annexure II duly filled in and signed by the candidate and countersigned with seal from the Cadre/Appointing authority.

2. Attested copies of APAR/ACRs for the past 5 (five) years duly attested on every page by an officer not below the rank of Under Secretary to the Government of India.

3. Integrity Certification

4. Vigilance Clearance Certificate

5. Record of minor or major penalties, if any, imposed on the officer through the past ten years of service.

6. A certification to the effect that the details supplied by the candidate are verified and found correct according to service documents.

7. Cadre Clearance Certificate.

NOTE: Incomplete application or application not accompanied by the above mentioned documents will be summarily rejected.
