This position is for a DST-Water Technology Initiative (Technology Stream) funded research project. The objective of the overall project is to develop and demonstrate a clean, green, sludge free technology at pilot scale for treatment of textile & dyeing industry wastewater. One of the major technology component is designing and development of a Photocatalytic Reactor (PCR) using UV based Advanced Oxidation Processes (AOPs). JRF Position would involve work on customizing nanomaterials properties, their application as adsorbents and photocatalysts, optimization of light intensity, radiation flux, kinetics, flow rate and overall working of PCR for efficient wastewater treatment. Also JRF will be responsible for planning and implementing the experimental work in lab/pilot, preparation of reports, presentations and publications.
M.Sc. Degree in Chemistry with Physical Chemistry specialization / Environmental Sciences with emphasis on Wastewater Treatment with NET Qualification or M.Tech. in Chemical Engineering / Environmental Science & Technology / Nanotechnology / Material Sciences with emphasis on PCR designing with consistently good academic record.

Rs. As per DST norms amounting to a total of Rs. 32500 pm including HRA.
