IISER Mohali Chemistry JRF/SRF Recruitment – Applications Invited
IISER-Mohali (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) is seeking a JRF/SRF Project Assistant on a purely temporary basis under a MOEF-CC sponsored research project.

Position Name: JRF/SRF, depending on qualifications and experience
Essential Qualification: MSc/MTech/BSc in Environmental Sciences, Chemistry, Physics, or Atmospheric Sciences. Candidates must have a strong academic record with 80% or higher in the preceding degree for General/OBC candidates and 75% or higher for SC/ST/PD candidates. Candidates must be GATE or NET qualified in the relevant discipline. Experience in acquiring and interpreting ambient air quality data for trace gases and aerosols is necessary. The candidate is expected to analyze data and publish results within the tenure of the position. Fluency in English is mandatory.
Desirable Qualification:
- Experience in data analysis and scientific writing.
- Hands-on experience with operating, calibrating, and processing data for instruments such as Multi-wavelength Aethalometer (Magee Scientific ME42), beta-attenuation PM analyzer, or other aerosol characterization techniques.
- Hands-on experience with air mass history analysis (Hysplit back trajectory modeling).
- Hands-on experience with PMF analysis (using EPA 5.0 PMF freeware).
- Basic skills in Igor Pro and R (Open air package).
