National Institute of Nutrition (NIN) was founded by Sir Robert McCarrison in the year 1918 as ‘Beri-Beri’ Enquiry Unit in a single room laboratory at the Pasteur Institute, Coonoor, Tamil Nadu. Within a short span of seven years, this unit blossomed into a “Deficiency Disease Enquiry” and later in 1928, emerged as full-fledged “Nutrition Research Laboratories” (NRL) with Dr. McCarrison as its first Director. It was shifted to Hyderabad in 1958.

Job Title – Junior Research Fellow

Project Title – “Assessment of Chemical Contaminants in Fresh/ Packaged/ Bottled Tender Coconut Water”

Funded by–  FSSAI

Tenure – 10 months only

Age Limit – Upper age limit is 30 years. Relaxable as per GOI rules.

Salary – Rs. 25,000/- pm fixed without any allowances.

Qualifications

Essential – First class M.Sc. Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry from recognized university.

Desirable – A minimum of two years experience in the analysis of pesticide residues using GC/LC-MS-MS

Application Instructions:

The candidates should bring all original certificates of educational qualifications (from SSC onward), experience, OBC/SC/ST Community and PH certificates along with one set of photo copies of the same duly attested (can be self attested) along with a passport size photograph for attending the interview.

No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
