Job Title: R&D Chemist-Polymer, Material Science, Specialty Chemicals: Lubricants/Surfactants/Viscosifiers

Location: Pune, MH, IN, 411007

Eligbility Criteria: Skills acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Chemistry or similar discipline.

Minimum educational requirement is a Master’s degree in science or similar discipline and zero to two years experience or Bachelor’s degree and four years experience.

Total Years of Experience: 0-2 years after Masters/ 4 or more years experience with a Bachelor’s degree

Desired/Preferred Expertise: Polymer Chemistry, Material Science, Specialty Chemicals: Lubricants / Surfactants / Viscosifiers / Gelling agents etc. Experience in Oil & Gas/drilling fluids will be given preference.

• Deliver projects by developing new experimental designs and risk mitigation strategies.
• Strong technical background in polymer science/ material science.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, Ability to present to various stakeholders and Senior Leadership
• Able to collate, summarize and give meaningful results on the experimental work done.
• Knowledge of Project Lifecycle and experience in deploying technologies from design to scale up will be good to have
• Favorable if prior knowledge of Drilling or Reservoir fluids is there or has an experience in specialty chemicals.

Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Under direct supervision, applies current laboratory HSE standards to solve technical problems by understanding Halliburton technology and performing optimization. Involved in the research and development of new technologies, products and services under the direction of experienced scientists and managers. Under general direction, executes projects by choosing proper test methods and drawing meaningful conclusions from test data which contributes to Intellectual Property topics of their domain. May establish working relationships with customers, and internal technical community. Develops relationships through excellent communication skills and acts as a key resource to provide innovative solutions. Participates in professional societies in area of specialization.
