Job Posting: Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) Position

Indian nationals are invited for a Walk-in / Online Interview on 23rd November 2023 at about 9:30 AM for one Postdoctoral Fellow (PDF) position under the project RIN4002-SCS-Basic Research in Chemical Sciences in the School of Chemical Sciences, NISER, Bhubaneswar funded by DAE, Govt. of India.

Essential Qualifications: PhD degree (awarded) in Chemistry or Physics from a recognized University or equivalent.

Research Area: Synthesis and spectroscopic characterization of solar energy harvesting materials (Perovskite, semiconductor quantum dots and 2D materials).

Desirable: Experience in high-temperature colloidal synthesis, optoelectronic applications, and thin film deposition.

Fellowship:

As per existing rules of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE), Govt. of India. The positions are purely temporary. The appointment is made for a period of Seven (07) months at a time and extendable to a maximum tenure of two years or completion of project whichever is earlier upon satisfactory academic performance subject to the

availability of funds. HRA will be paid if accommodation is not available on the campus and Contingency grant will be spent as per rules.

• RA-I: Candidates successfully defended their thesis and having less than one-year experience after award of PhD degree, Monthly fellowship: ₹47,000/-
• RA-II: Candidates with one or less than two years of experience after award of PhD degree; Monthly fellowship: ₹49,000/-
• RA-III: Candidates with 2-3 years of experience after award of PhD degree; Monthly fellowship: ₹54,000/-

Age relaxation available as per existing rules.

The above positions are purely temporary for a period of seven (07) month initially and it can be extended up to two years or completion of project whichever is earlier and strictly co-terminus with the project. It would, therefore, not confer any right/ claim, implicit, or explicit for consideration/absorption against any NISER post.
