Job Location: Jakkur, Bangalore.

Research Associate Provisional:
  • Essential Qualification: Post Graduate Degree in Chemistry Must have submitted thesis, for award of PhD degree in Chemistry.
  • Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Bioinformatics tools, experience in PDB search and

    data analysis Or Experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis.

Remuneration: Rs.39,000/- plus 24% HRA
Maximum Age Limit: 32 years
Research Associate: 
  • Essential Qualification: Ph.D/MD/MS/MDS or equivalent degree in Chemistry OR three years of research, teaching, design and development after M.Sc/M.Pharm/M.E/M.Tech in Chemistry with at least one research paper in Science Citation Index (SCI) Journal.
  • Desirable Qualification: Knowledge of Bioinformatics tools, experience in PDB search and data analysis Or Experience in organic synthesis, peptide synthesis.
Remuneration:  Rs.47,000/-, Rs.49,000/- and Rs.54,000/- plus 24% HRA. Remuneration will be fixed based on experience.

A: Certainly. I have extensive experience in utilizing various bioinformatics tools such as BLAST and PyMOL for protein structure analysis. I’ve conducted numerous PDB searches and employed these tools to analyze and extract meaningful insights from protein structures to support my research.

Q: Could you share an example of a challenging project where your knowledge of bioinformatics tools and data analysis was crucial?

A: Of course. In a recent project, I was tasked with identifying potential drug targets among a set of protein structures. I used bioinformatics tools to analyze binding sites and perform virtual screening, ultimately identifying promising candidates for further study.

Q: What is your experience in organic synthesis and peptide synthesis?

A: I have a strong background in organic synthesis, having synthesized various organic compounds for both academic research and industrial applications. Additionally, I have expertise in peptide synthesis techniques, which I’ve applied in projects involving the design and production of biologically active peptides.

Q: Can you provide an example of a successful project where you utilized your skills in organic synthesis or peptide synthesis?

A: Certainly. In a recent project, I successfully synthesized a series of novel peptide analogs with improved bioavailability and therapeutic potential. This work led to a patent application and demonstrated the practical application of my skills in peptide synthesis.

Q: How do you stay updated with the latest developments in bioinformatics or organic synthesis techniques?

A: I believe in continuous learning. Thus, I regularly attend scientific conferences, subscribe to relevant journals, and participate in online courses to keep up-to-date with the latest advancements. Additionally, I actively engage with peers and collaborate on research projects to gain exposure to new techniques and methodologies.
