 Objectives of the position of Paint Process Engineer:

  • Paint Process Engineer is responsible to ensure safe, reliable, efficient deployment, qualification, monitoring, and continuous improvement of paint process technology for mass production. 
  • He/she ensures that production runs smoothly and is responsible for the enhancement of production processes to improve overall product performance, drive sustainable production volume and drive continuous innovation. 
  • Activities include providing technical support for the production department to improve product quality, production rates, process yields, and supporting capital project execution as Technology Manager.

Main Tasks of PAint Process Engineer :

  • Act as the gatekeeper to ensure the technical feasibility, reliability and scalability of new processes, products, or installation introduction/modification to paint plant.
  • Responsible for the safe, smooth, and efficient use of suitable processing technology during production by troubleshooting, continuous monitoring, and enhancement.
  • Responsible for the development of new sustainable processing technology and innovation in collaboration with product development laboratory.
  • Should have good understanding of Chemistry and paint processing fundamentals​
  • Good knowledge of automotive coatings paint layer recipe foundation​ in order to product monitoring & scale up troubles.
  • Well versed with paint Process Safety fundamentals​ & ensures adherence.
  • Monitor & ensure Batch Control System inside the paint plant.
  • Lay down guidelines for Start-up, shut-down, commissioning & product scale-up.
  • Responsible for Paint Plant Process Control and Interlock Systems.
  • Equipment specification and procurement, including acting as liaison to builders, customers, and Production for paint process and fluid delivery process.
  • Coordination of trial runs and quality improvement for the paint process.
  • Implement cost-reduction improvements for both new and existing equipment/processes; and
  • Technical support to all Production and Engineering operations for process improvement programs.
  • General knowledge of production control / scheduling systems.
  • Good analytical / problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of statistical analysis.
