Eligbility Criteria:

  • MSc in Organic Chemistry
  • 3-5 years of Experience of working in lab and handling various formulation equipment.
    Good understanding of formulation chemistry.
  • Knowledge of analytical equipment’s related to formulations.

Purpose of the Role:

To conduct research under guidance of Team Lead to optimise the cost and improve the yield to aid in the business growth of UPL

Job Responsibilities:

  • Literature search and evaluation of various formulation process and types and selection of equipment
  • Execution Plan for conducting experiments
  • Need to develop various agro formulations such as DF, EC, CS, SC etc.
  • Conducting day to day experiments as per Project Execution Plan
  • Process Optimization for cost effectiveness Scale up of the Lab Process
  • Regular review of the results and take corrective actions
  • Timely reporting of results to the superiors
  • Documentation: Documentation of experimental results in std formats

  1. What experience do you have in working with various formulation equipment?

Answer: I have worked for 4 years as a Research Assistant at XYZ Company, where I was responsible for handling various formulation equipment such as mixers, reactors, centrifuges, etc. during the development of various agro-formulations.

2. Can you explain your understanding of formulation chemistry?

Answer: Formulation chemistry involves understanding the physicochemical properties of the active ingredient, excipients, and their interactions during the formulation process. It also includes optimizing the formulation to improve its stability, solubility, bioavailability, and other characteristics that affect its efficacy.

3. What analytical equipment do you have experience with in relation to formulations?

Answer: I have experience with analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, DSC, and TGA, which are commonly used in the analysis of formulations to determine their purity, stability, and other properties.

4. Have you worked with various agro-formulations before, such as DF, EC, CS, SC, etc.?

Answer: Yes, I have worked with various agro-formulations during my previous work experience. I have developed formulations such as DF, EC, CS, SC, and others for different crops, based on the specific needs of the target market.

5. How do you document experimental results in standardized formats?

Answer: I document experimental results by following the company’s standard operating procedures (SOPs) and using templates for recording data. I include all relevant information, such as the type of formulation, the equipment used, the experimental conditions, and the results obtained, in a clear and concise manner. I also maintain proper records of raw data, calculations, and observations to ensure reproducibility and traceability of results.
