RECRUITMENT NOTICE FOR THE POSTS OF TRAINED GRADUATE TEACHERS (TGTs) UNDER SAMAGRA SHIKSHA, CHANDIGARH

The opening date and closing date for receipt of the online application are as under:

  • Opening date of Application: 12.09.2022 (12th September 2022) 09.00 AM onwards
  • Closing date of Application: 03.10.2022 (03rd October 2022) up to 05.00 PM
  • Last date to deposit the fees: 06.10.2022 (6th October 2022) up to 02.00 PM

Candidates are required to log on to the website link i.e. https://online.ctestservices.com/nitttrtgt/ to submit the application.

Samagra Shiksha invites online applications from eligible candidates to fill up 90 posts of Trained Graduate Teachers (TGTs) on a contractual basis as per the following details at fixed remuneration of Rs. 35400/- as revised from time to time by the society:

Essential Qualifications at [A] Or [B] as detailed Below:

The candidate should possess the essential qualification as of the last date of submission of the application.

[A]

  1. Graduate from a recognized University with relevant subjects/Elective subjects with at least 50% marks in aggregate;
  2. Degree of Bachelor of Education with relevant teaching subject or its equivalent from an Institute recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate;
  3. Pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET- Paper–II) conducted by the CBSE New Delhi in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE is compulsory.

[B]

  1. 4 years of integrated B.A.B.Ed. / B.Sc.B.Ed. or an equivalent course with relevant subjects or an equivalent course recognized by NCTE with at least 50% marks in aggregate.
  2. Pass Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET-Paper-II) conducted by the CBSE New Delhi in accordance with the Guidelines framed by the NCTE is compulsory.

Selection Procedure:

  1. All the candidates who will submit an ONLINE application along with requisite fees on or before the closing date will be issued admit card to appear in the written exam without checking the eligibility conditions.
  2. After the conduct of the written test, an answer key will be uploaded on the website as per schedule for submission of objections by the candidates.
  3. Marks obtained by the candidates in the written tests will be uploaded on the website.
  4. In case two or more candidates are having same marks on a written test then a candidate having higher marks in B.Ed will rank higher in merit. Even then if two candidates are at the same rank, the candidate older in age will rank higher in merit.
  5. The merit list prepared on the basis of marks in the written test will be uploaded on the website and on the basis of said merit; candidates will be called for scrutiny of the original document and checking of eligibility conditions. (to be read along with point VI)
  6. Candidates to be called for scrutiny of original documents under each category will be 3 times (three times) the number of posts under each category.
  7. A list of selected candidates will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained in the Objective Type Test (Part-A & Part-B).
  8. The merit list for selection will be released after checking of eligibility conditions and ICT skill training certificates.

Age Limit

Up to 21-37 years as of 01.01.2022. Relaxation to SC/OBC and other category candidates will be given as per the instructions issued by the Govt. of India/Chandigarh Administration.

PROCEDURE FOR SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATIONS

  1. Applications can be submitted only ‘ONLINE’ from 12.09.2022 (09.00 AM onwards) to 03.10.2022 (up to 05.00 PM) on the website link i.e. https://online.ctestservices.com/nitttrtgt/. However, the last date to deposit the fee is 06.10.2022 (up to 02.00 PM).
  2. Application fee (non-refundable) amounting to Rs. 1000/- (Rs. 500/- in case of SC) will be accepted through online mode up to 06.10.2022 (up to 02.00 PM). Persons with disability are exempted from payment of fees as per instructions issued by Govt. of India. Detailed instructions for submission of online applications and deposits of fees are available on the website link i.e. https://online.ctestservices.com/nitttrtgt/.
  3. After submission of the online application, the registration form will be generated. The candidate has to take out two printouts of the registration form and the same has to be brought on the date of verification of documents (if the name exists in the Merit list) along with the original and photocopy of all documents. Print out of the online application is NOT to be submitted either personally or through the post.
  4. Biometric verification may be carried out at the examination centre and at the time of joining of the applicant.
  5. Candidates are advised not to disclose passwords to anybody.6. Separate application is to be submitted in case candidates want to apply for more than one post/subject.

  7. All the notices and updates will be uploaded on the website link i.e. https://online.ctestservices.com/nitttrtgt/, as such, candidates are advised to visit the site on regular basis. No separate individual intimation through the post will be sent.
  8. Before applying for the post of TGT, the candidate must ensure that he/she fulfils all the eligibility conditions mentioned in the advertisement. Eligibility regarding qualification will be checked with reference to the closing date for submission of applications.

Note:

  1. All the candidates who will submit a complete online application (along with photographs and scanned signatures) on or before the closing date along with the requisite fee will be issued admit cards to appear in Written Test without checking eligibility conditions. The eligibility of the candidates will be checked after the declaration of the result of the Written Test as per the details mentioned under the selection procedure. Simply appearing in the written test does not give any right to the candidate for appointment.
  2. Topics/curriculum for subject-specific questions (Part-B, number of questions-100) will be uploaded before notification of the schedule for the written test.
  3. Examination centres for written tests will be notified at the time of downloading of admit card-cum-Roll No. slip. The candidates will report to the examination centre one and half hours before the scheduled time along with admit card-cum-Roll No. slip, latest photograph and ID proof.
  4. No request for a change of examination centre will be entertained.
  5. Selection will be made purely on the basis of merit in the written test subject to fulfilment of eligibility conditions and simply appearing in the written test does not give any right to the candidate for appointment. As such, candidates are advised to ensure that they fulfil eligibility conditions for the post applied.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

  1. The number of vacancies advertised may vary as per requirement.
  2. The candidates applying for the posts of TGT should ensure that they fulfil
  3. the eligibility conditions as per the details mentioned in the advertisement. Their candidature will be provisional at all the stages of the recruitment process i.e. Acceptance of online applications, issue of admit cards and scrutiny of original documents. Eligibility status will be uploaded on the website in respect of those candidates who are called for scrutiny of original documents.
  4. A mere issue of Admit Card or appearing in the written test or scrutiny of original documents does not imply that a candidate is eligible for the post of TGT. In case, any information is found wrong at any stage even after joining, the candidature will be cancelled without any notice.
  5. Wherever the evaluation is in terms of grades, the candidate must attach the conversion scale. For equivalent qualifications, an equivalence certificate issued on or before the closing date is to be submitted at the time of scrutiny of original documents.
  6. Documents for claiming the benefit of reserved category should be obtained from competent authority not less than Deputy Commissioner / Additional Deputy Commissioner / SDM / District Sainik Welfare Board / Chief Medical Officer.
  7. Where an Ex-serviceman is not available for recruitment against a reserved vacancy, such a vacancy shall be reserved to be filled in by recruitment of the wife or one dependent child of an Ex-serviceman, who has neither been recruited against a reserved vacancy as per rules. Further, the wife or the dependent child of the ex-serviceman shall be recruited against the reserved vacancy subject to the conditions that: –
    (i) He or she possesses the prescribed qualifications and is within the prescribed age limits;
    (ii) He or she is not already in service;
    (iii) He or she will be eligible to avail of the benefit only once in life.Eligible dependents of ex-serviceman will be required to submit Lineal Dependent Certificate in a prescribed format at the time of document verification.
  8. The candidates are advised to ensure that the photograph affixed by them to the application form is the latest. It is also to be ensured that signatures have been affixed at the appropriate place.
  9. The decision of Samagra Shiksha, Chandigarh about the mode of selection for the post and eligibility conditions of the applicant shall be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
