In this project, we aim to develop novel ultrathin and highly permeable membranes based on the assembly of microgels with the self-cleaning ability for clean water and separation applications. The candidate is expected to synthesize novel polymers and microgels and perform membrane preparation and analysis

Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Eligibility: M.Sc / M.Tech. in Chemistry / Organic chemistry / Polymer Science / Material Science / Chemical Engineering / Membranes. Candidate should have obtained first class in both bachelor and master degrees with NET/GATE* qualification.
Desirable: Prior experience of research in polymer synthesis, membranes, separation & purification, or
similar research areas.*The requirement of NET/GATE examination for the selection to the post of JRF may be relaxed for the candidates who have graduated from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes (CFTIs) with a CGPA of more than 8.000 (80% aggregate marks).
Salary:Â Rs.31,000/- p.m. plus HRA @ 24%

5% relaxation of marks may be granted to the SC/ST Candidates. In case of selection of a retired/superannuated government employee, his/her salary will be fixed as per prevailing IRD norms.
