Name of Project: Electrostatic Deposition and Functionalization of Multiwalled Carbon Nanotubes (MWCNTs) for Sensitive & Selective Detection of Coal Mine Methane (CMM)

Name of Sponsoring Agency: Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDI), Ministry of Coal, Government of India, New Delhi.

Duration of the position: One year or up to the termination of project, subject to Annual Performance Review

Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/- (for the first 2 years) + HRA @ 16% per month. As per the MoC Norms

Essential Qualifications:

First class in M.Sc. (Physics/ Chemistry/ Nanotechnology/ Material Science)/ M.Tech. (Nanotechnology/ Material Science) with minimum 60% marks (or equivalent CGPA) with GATE/CSIR- NET or equivalent examination.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Candidates with expertise in the synthesis of nanomaterials and their composites for gas sensing applications, characterization of nanoparticles and their composites will be preferred.
• The candidates having 1-2 years of Research experience in Industry or Research Laboratory is preferred.

Age Limit:

28 Years (relaxable for 5 years for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped/Female candidates).
All things being equal, SC/ST candidates will be preferred as per GOI rules.

Note: Candidates interested in extending their JRF position to Ph.D. will be preferred. Candidates may subsequently register for Ph.D. programme at the Amity Institute for Advanced Research and Studies (Materials & Devices), Amity University, Sector-125, Noida-201303, if she/he fulfils the required criteria.
