Kenvue is currently recruiting for a Scientist. This position reports to the Principal Scientist and is based in Greater Mumbai.

What You Will Do
The position is responsible for delivering analytical services to various Kenvue Consumer Health Global R&D sites across multiple product categories within franchises such as Self Care (OTC drugs), Skin Health, and Essential Health (Baby care, Oral Care, etc.). The Scientist will be part of the team responsible for analytical deliverables for new product development projects, supporting changes to commercial products, and research-based activities within Global operations. The primary role

is to deliver analytical testing and related documentation with a compliance focus under the supervision of the team leader.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure qualification on a wide range of analytical technologies and instrumentation for testing capabilities.
  • Execute assigned stability testing for shelf-life assessment of stability studies.
  • Responsible for method development and subsequent method validation activities, including technical documentation under the guidance of the team leader.
  • Participate in method transfer processes regarding testing activities.
  • Work on specific research projects, if required.

Support to Equipment Management Program

  • Responsible for assigned qualification and calibration activities for lab instrumentation and technology.
  • Deliver the instrument owner role for basic lab equipment and technology.

Technical Documentation

  • Partner with key personnel to provide data for technical documents such as stability reports, method transfer, method validation protocols and reports, etc.

Lab Process/Quality Systems Management

  • Support process owners or subject matter experts for assigned responsibilities, critical laboratory processes, and quality systems.
  • Provide oversight for basic lab processes and escalate as needed.

Engagement on Regional/Global Initiatives

  • Participate and collaborate with regional and global teams for assigned deliverables when nominated for such forums.

What We Are Looking For

  • Education: Ph.D. in Pharmacy or Chemistry from a reputable institute preferred. MSc, B Pharm, M. Pharm, or equivalent science stream.
  • Other Skills: Advanced proficiency in MS Office.
  • Work Experience: Minimum of 3 years and up to 6 years in analytical development, quality control, or related functions in healthcare/pharma/FMCG sector, with exposure to 21 CFR Guidelines, GMP, and quality environments.

  • Good interpersonal skills to partner across functions, sites, and regions.
  • Sound technical expertise related to chemistry, analytical techniques, and stability study assessment.
  • Diligent execution of analytical projects with a right first-time approach.
  • Adequate knowledge of current GMP, quality systems, site-specific SOPs, regional/global technical requirements.
  • Technical skills related to instrumentation principles and working, basic troubleshooting, good documentation practices, data integrity aspects, etc.
  • Ability to work with digital tools and software applications.
