(A)
1. Master’s Degree with 55 percent marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) in Chemistry from a recognized University/ Institute.

2. Must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) (Chemistry) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET (State level eligibility test) OR who are OR have been awarded a Ph.D. Degree (Chemistry) in accordance with the UGC (Minimum standards and procedure for award of M.Phil./Ph.D. Degree) regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendments from time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET
Provided, the candidates registered for the Ph.D. programme prior to July 11,2009 shall be governed by the provisions of the then existing ordinances/Bye- Laws/Regulations of the Institutions awarding the Degree and such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor in Universities/Colleges/Institutions subject to the fulfillment of the following conditions-
a) Ph.D Degree of the candidate has been awarded in regular mode
b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by atleast two external examiners
c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted
d) The candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D. work out of which at least one must be in a refereed journal
e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.D work in conference/seminars, sponsored /funded/supported by the UGC/ICSSR/CSIR or any similar agency.
The fulfillment of the conditions (a) to (e) as above are to be certified by the Registrar/Dean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.
OR
(B) Ph.D. Degree in Chemistry from a Foreign University/Institution.
NOTE 1. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master Programmes in Disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted by the UGC, CSIR or Similar Test accredited by the UGC like SLET/SET.

Duty(ies):

Academic-
*Teaching and other academic related responsibilities
* All assigned work related to institution and affiliating body from time to time.
*Organizing seminars/webinars/Conferences

Research & Start-Up activities-
* Taking up sponsored innovate projects and publishing research papers with student participation with special focus on local problems.
* Encouraging students for Hackathon/Community activities/ project addressing solution for social challenges.

Administrative-
* Support the department/Institute level functional activities.
* Carry out any other administrative work assigned by superiors/A&N Administration.

All other activities as per RR and follow all laid down institute norms.

1. Candidates are required to pay a fee of Rs. 25/- (Rupees Twenty five) only either by
   remitting the money in any branch of the SBI by cash or by using the net banking facility of the SBI or by using a visa/master credit/debit card.
2. No fee for SC/ST/PwBD/Women candidates of any community. No “fee exemption” is
   available to Gen/OBC/EWS male candidates and they are required to pay the full prescribed fee.
3. Applications without the prescribed fee would not be considered and summarily rejected. No representation against such rejection would be entertained.
4. Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstance nor can the fee be held in reserve for any other examination or selection.
