Applications are invited for the post of Project Research Scientist I (Non-Medical) for the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) funded project in Centre for Biomaterials Cellular and Molecular Theranostics (CBCMT), Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) – Vellore- 632014, Tamil Nadu.
Title of the Project: Design and Development of Siderophore-Macrolide Antibiotic Conjugates to Combat Multidrug Resistance (MDR) Gram-Negative Bacterial Infections
Qualification (Essential): First Class in Post-Graduate (PG) Degree including integrated PG Degree in Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent (M.Sc/M.Pharm/MS).
Qualification (Desirable): Candidates with hands-on experience in synthetic organic chemistry/bioconjugation chemistry/cell culture and small animal handling will be preferred.
Stipend: Rs. 56,000/- + 9% HRA per month (for first two years), Rs. 58,800/- per month + 9% HRA (for the third year) for candidate with ICMR/DBT/CSIR JRF/Valid GATE score. For non-JRF/GATE qualified candidates, the stipend will be paid as per the Institute’s norms.
