Job Title: Junior Research Fellow (JRF) for DST-BRICS Project
Title of the Project:
Functionalization of new titanium alloys after ECAP processing and surface treatment.
Duration: 3 Years
Location:
Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore Campus
Qualification:
M.Sc/M.Tech (Material Science, Nanotechnology, Physics, Chemistry/ Mechanical Engineering) with a minimum of 55% marks. Preference will be given to candidates with NET or GATE Score.
Skill set required:
Candidate with work experience and basic knowledge in Metallurgy, Corrosion, Tribology, Biomaterials and Manufacturing process is desirable.
Stipend:
Rs. 28,000/- + 8% HRA per month for first two years and Rs.30,000/- +8% HRA per month for third year if the candidates with NET or GATE Score. Otherwise as per Institute norms.

Work functions of the JRF:
The JRF will be required to do full time research related to this specific project, in particular metal alloys processing and characterization, surface modification and treatment, biological assays, cell culture and differentiation specific to human bone applications.
