Arguments For
- I’d go with Hyderabad. The pharma and life sciences industry is much bigger there, so for someone from a chemistry background, you’ll find plenty of core roles in R&D, APIs, formulation, QC and manufacturing. Genome Valley is another big plus. And when you’re starting out, Hyderabad’s relatively manageable living costs can make a real difference compared to Bangalore. Overall, it feels more focused on core chemistry careers rather than tech-driven roles. — Amrita
Arguments Against
- I pick Bangalore! 🔵 Its strong pharma, biotech, research and startup ecosystem offers chemistry graduates exciting opportunities in R&D, drug discovery, analytical chemistry and emerging tech-driven roles. — Sneha
