ICTS TIFR JRF Job Opening – Chemical Engineering Apply
The International Centre for Theoretical Sciences (ICTS) of the Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR) invites highly motivated and self-driven individuals for the post of Junior Research Fellow to work on a project on ‘Anisotropic Particles in Turbulent Flows: From sub-Kolmogorov to Inertial Scales’ at its Bengaluru office.
Job Title: Junior Research Fellow
Location: Bengaluru office
Essential qualification & experience:
M Tech/B Tech/B E Chemical Engineering/Computer Science) from a recognized University or equivalent.
6 months to 1 year of experience in high-performance computing (HPC) in Industrial and Academic Institutions or Science and Technology Organisations and Scientific activities and services.
Job Profile: The project offers excellent opportunities for fundamental research. The applicant will primarily focus on optimising in-house codes (simulating turbulent flows) in Fortran and C++ to make them MPI compatible. Furthermore, the candidate will be involved in setting up lattice-Boltzmann and channel flow simulations. Knowledge of fluid dynamics is desirable but not essential.
Monthly Emoluments (Rs.) – Rs. 31,000/- + HRA
Upper Age Limit: 28 years (as on 01st July 2022)
