Job Title: Project Associate-I

Project Title: “Spin Dynamics of Magnetic Molecules” under the supervision of Dr. Suranjan Shil at the Manipal Centre for Natural Sciences (MCNS), Centre of Excellence, MAHE, Manipal. This theoretical investigation proposes to study the spin dynamics of magnetic molecules to answer the question of slow magnetic relaxation.
Qualification:
M.Sc. (Chemistry/Physics/ or related discipline) degree is mandatory. Candidates with Master degrees in Physics/Physical Chemistry are encouraged to apply. Candidates with prior computational experience will be given preferences.
Duration of Project:
The initial appointment is for one year, extendable to one more year, subject to satisfactory performance. The total duration of the project is two years.
Remuneration: Rs. 31000 + 8% HRA per month
Other benefits
Selected candidates may be entitled to register for the Ph.D. program of the
institute (subject to an assessment and fulfilling the eligibility criteria).
The objectives of this project are
(i) to study the spin transport property of chiral magnetic molecules and the effects of electric field on the transport property of chiral molecules to understand the relation between chirality and spintronics, and (ii) to study spin on surfaces to understand the dynamics of spins.How To Apply:
