1. PhD/M.Tech in Chemical Engineering.
2. The candidate should have a valid GATE score
Job Description
Writing, debugging and the execution of a 2D/3D parallel compressible Navier-Stokes Solver using Immersed Interface Method. Parallelization of the solver to be performed using under MPI framework using implicit compact schemes and explicit-implicit time-integration methods. The obtained results to be validated and applied to various fluid-structure interaction problems. Post-processing of the results using numerical tools like FFT, POD, etc.
Desirable Qualification
1. Having good knowledge of Fluid Dynamics, Compressible Flows and numerical methods for solving ODE/PDE. Basic
knowledge of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) is also desirable.2. The candidate should have good experience in coding physical problems
using FORTRAN/ C/ C++/ PYTHON etc.
Age and Relaxation (if any) Below 30 years as on the date of interview.
Fellowship INR 31,000 p.m. for the first 24 months upgraded to 35,000 p.m. for the next 12 months. The candidate would be absorbed into the Ph.D. program at IIT (ISM)
Dhanbad provided he/she successfully clears the Ph.D. interview.
Shortlisted candidates will be informed on the date of the interview. Mere possession of minimum qualification does not guarantee an invitation to the interview. Candidates will be short-listed based on their merit and as per the requirement of the project. All candidates should make their own arrangements for their stay at Dhanbad if required. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview
