Job Title: Junior Executive Discovery Chemistry Operations (38706)

Job Location: Bangalore

Department: Discovery Chemistry Operations

Educational Qualification: BSc (Chemistry).

Technical/Functional Skills:

• Should have basic knowledge in chemistry
• Flexible to work in different shifts

Experience: 0-3 Years

Behavioral Skills:
• Able to work follow instructions and perform the tasks under the supervision of the project leader
• Fair interpersonal skills

Job Purpose:

• The purpose of the role is to support lab operations and to follow all safety procedures while performing any type of activity inside the labs.

• Need to follow instructions from the supervisor and work in a group (or individually) to accomplish the tasks in a timely and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing inorganic solutions and management of cylinder requirements for lab scientists

• Quenching of hazardous and toxic chemicals as per the defined protocols in a safe manner

• To monitor all the overnight reactions carried out by after

office hours and document the reaction status every day. Also need to update the scientists about any deviations observed after office hours

• Responsible to supervise all the chemistry labs to ensure lab safety and also the reactions carried out by the scientists after office hours

• Should able to handle purification instruments and other equipment

• To monitor and perform hydrogenation reactions

• Ensure confidentiality at all times

• Understanding and demonstrating responsibility for the safety of self & colleagues by following all safety protocols provided by Syngene

• Adherence to all environment, health, and safety (EHS) policies & standards at all times in the workplace

• Wearing all PPE as required.

• Adherence to all procedures related to Syngene’ s data integrity policies

• Compliance to Syngene’s s quality standards at all times.
