Education & Qualification
Bachelors in Chemical Engineering or Masters in Chemistry with 4-6 years of relevant experience. A minimum of 3 years of lab experience on GC or GC-MS or HPLC or ICP instruments in a lab of repute is a must.
Skills
- Hands-on experience in Analytical Instrumentation GC, GC-MS, ICP
- Ability to interpret instrument output like run log, chromatograms etc.
- Ability to correlate various sets of environmental data and draw intelligent inferences
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Excellent Communication in English, both verbal and written
- Capable of using MS Access or equivalent
- Hands on experience in querying data from databases using SQL queries
- Ability to understand the issue and make minor modifications/corrections in the database
- Working experience in the Lab QC department
- Working experience on LIMS (Laboratory Information Management Systems) and EDD (Electronic data deliverables) generation
This position is primarily responsible to ensure environmental data management and validation are delivered as assigned to internal and external clients. This role will perform technical environmental data validation according to US EPA/State or other regulatory requirements as well as support updating technical documentation and processes. This position is responsible to enable the operations to lead in delivering high quality and on-time delivery along with meeting limited continuous improvement goals.
Work with the technical teams of Alliance vendors, specifically Sr. Chemists and database managers for improvement actions and deliverables.
- Communicate directly with appropriate responsible alliance members to ensure quality and delivery products to Honeywell
- Verification of Chain of Custody, Methods, and Lab Sample Receipt
- Verification of field data and update correctly to Honeywell approved Environmental database
- Maintain the integrity of the field and analytical data pursuant to corporate and project guidelines
- Perform validation of the Lab Result (Electronic Data Deliverable) to the appropriate level ( Level II, III, IV) as per the site requirements in conformance to US EPA / State guidelines / Validation requirements.
- Provide need-based analytical data in an excel/cross tab format to the requestor from Honeywell Databases
- Prepare data tables and graphs in excel or similar for reports
- Assist with technical writing
- Develop Data Quality Evaluation Reports and Supporting documents for regulatory submittal
- Periodic update of the Site and Partner level QAPP documents, validation setting in Environmental database
- Supply required settings for new sites/methods for Automated Validation
- Optimize the ‘Setup Data ’ settings in the Environmental Portal Database
- Provide clearance for Laboratory Invoice approval
- Periodic update of Program SOPs.
- Provide summary metric of performance (TAT, No of issues,..) on a quarterly basis
- Review analytical data tables generated for accuracy.
- Use six sigma methodologies for process improvements/Kaizens
- Support team in the improvement of cycle time and quality
- Prepare Quality and delivery RCA taking support from lead ensuring resolution
