Job Title: Analytical Laboratory Scientist, L&C – Mumbai
Eligibility Criteria:
• Ph.D.. (+ 2 years experience) in analytical chemistry or related areas
• Proven track record in method development and applying Gas chromatography for analytical analyses in a commercial or research lab
• Extensive experience in mass spectrometry
• Desire to achieve results
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and provide analytical/technical support for projects, with a focus on LC-MS & GC MS analysis of flavors/perfume/Aroma Chemicals and natural products.
• Manage and maintain the analytical lab by ensuring proper care/use of instruments; updating SOPs, documentation, and lab databases/inventories
• Contribute to the technical development of the analytical team (i.e., method development, Team up with other scientific staff)
• Collaborate with and across various functional groups, including Creation, Application, Quality Assurance and Regional/Global contact.
• Utilize different isolation and analytical techniques (especially GC-with different
detection techniques and GC-MS) for volatile analysis• Prepare and review analytical reports using in-house reporting tools and databases
• Document work, make recommendations and communicate effectively with management, co-workers, and (internal) customers
• Coordinate analytical support requiring global or external resources, and provide scientific support (e.g., literature search) as an expert in flavor/analytical chemistry
• Manage, maintain and optimize lab instruments, procedures, and documentation.
• Knowledge of ISO 17025 is added advantage.
