The Centre for Management Development (CMD) invites applications from competent and qualified candidates to the posts of Animator– Project Mazhavillu at the Kerala Development & Innovation Strategic Council (K-DISC) on a contract basis. Description:
The Kerala Development and Innovation Strategy Council (K-DISC) is an advisory body constituted by the Government of Kerala in 2018,
under the aegis of the Chief Minister, in order to develop strategies to foster a culture of innovation in the state and improve interventions in the
state’s development sector.
Project Mazhavillu
‘Mazhavillu’ (Teach Science for Kerala) aims at improving the proficiency of children, at the primary level, in Science by developing and using a methodology of integrated teaching and learning based on the approach of Conceptual Change.
The selected and appointed Animators – Project Mazhavillu, who will be guides for the students for these learning activities, will play a crucial role in facilitating and improving the learning outcomes for these young children. Candidates will have to work in any one of the 5 (FIVE) following Project locations, across 5 (FIVE) districts
:- Ernakulam
- Kannur
- Thiruvananthapuram
- Palakkad
- Thrissur
No.of posts – Project Mazhavillu is 5 (FIVE) (may vary).
Job Title: Animator – Project Mazhavillu (Teach Science for Kerala) [Animators will have to facilitate, mentor students aged 6 to 12 in learning the Sciences at the Community Science Lab at the assigned location]
Eligibility Criteria: MSc in Chemistry, Applied Sciences or equivalent from a recognized institution with 3 years of teaching experience
Essential Attributes
- Excellent communication skills, written and spoken (in Malayalam and English as evidenced through a written test)
- Good Logical, Analytical and Critical Reasoning abilities (as evidenced through analytical and reasoning tests)
- Advanced Computer skills (as evidenced through a practical test)
Desirable Attributes
- B. Ed or M. Ed
- Aptitude in teaching the Sciences
- Passionate about teaching young students, aged 6to 12
- Proven artistic skills in Dancing, Singing, Theatre & Acting
Experience:
- Candidates with demonstrated experience in teaching young students in schools shall
get preference - Having experience in teaching the Sciences is advantageous
Age: 32
Salary: Rs 32500/-

Job Title: Junior Animator – Project Mazhavillu (Teach Science for Kerala) [Junior Animators will have to work in close co-ordination with Animators and have to facilitate and mentor students (age group of 6 to 12)
Eligibility: First class, full time MSc in Chemistry or Applied Sciences or
equivalent from a recognized institution
Essential Attributes
Excellent communication skills, written and spoken (in Malayalam and English as evidenced
through a written test)
Experience:
- Candidates with demonstrated experience in teaching young students in schools shall get preference
- Having experience in teaching the Sciences is advantageous
Desirable Attributes
- B. Ed
- Aptitude in teaching the Sciences
- Passionate about teaching young students, aged 6 to 12
- Proven artistic skills in Dancing, Singing, Theatre & Acting
Salary: Rs 25,00/-

- Candidates who have exposure to educational activism shall get preference.
- Candidates with exposure in the design of riddles, toys, games and related community projects etc., shall get preference.
Candidates with proven achievements in extra-curricular like Dancing, Acting, Singing and Role Play shall get preference.
