IISER Pune Pharma Job Institute invites applications from Indian nationals having excellent academic record and relevant work experience for the following positions purely on temporary and contractual basis under the funded project titled “National Facility for Gene Function in Health and Disease” (Proj. code: 30815226) funded by Department of Biotechnology, Govt. of India:
Postcode – 2 Senior Technical Officer
Number of posts 01 (One)
Minimum educational M.V.Sc. / M.Pharm / M.Sc. / equivalent qualification with
relevant specialization minimum of 3 years of experience
Qualifications & Experience in experimental work using small animal models and in
lab animal breeding.
Preference Candidate with experience in laboratory animal
management especially rodents and immunocompromised animals will be preferred
Job requirement
The incumbent is expected to oversee experiments involving transgenic and knockout lines and also work along with the team of faculty in the various scientific research projects at the Institute. The incumbent is also expected to be involved in the
day-to-day function of theAnimal House Facility.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments Rs. 54, 075/- per month
Age Not more than 35 years as on closing date of advertisement.

B. Pharm / B.Sc. or equivalent degree in life sciences with minimum 2 years of experience in laboratory animal breeding and management and / or in Zebra fish
management.
Preference Candidate with experience in laboratory animal management and / or Zebrafish management will be preferred.
Job requirement The incumbent is expected to assist in daily management of lab animals and/or zebrafish; management of records and other routine activities of the facility.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the
incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments Rs. 33,900/- per month
Age Not more than 32 years as on closing date of advertisement.

Minimum educational Qualifications & Experience
B.Sc. / B. Pharm or equivalent degree with minimum 1 year of experience in molecular biology techniques.
Preference Candidate with experience in DNA extraction, PCR, ELISA, cloning and Genotyping will be preferred.
Job requirement The incumbent is expected to assist in molecular biology
work and assist in day to day lab animal management
work and record maintaining.
Tenure of the appointment Initially for a period of one year, extendable for further
period subject to satisfactory performance of the
incumbent and continuation of the project.
Consolidated emoluments Rs. 20,600/- per month
Age Not more than 30 years as on closing date of advertisement
