CSIR-CFTRI is looking for a qualified candidate to fill the position of Project Associate-I as detailed below.

Project Details

• Project Title: Oil Quantitative Index (OQI): A Fluid-Mechanics-Based Framework for Identifying Oil Extraction Processes

• Location: CSIR-CFTRI, Mysuru, Karnataka
• Duration: Up to 31st March 2027

Position Details

Essential Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or Technology / B.Tech in Food Sciences & Technology/ Agricultural Engineering.
OR
M.Sc. in Food Science and Technology or equivalent.

Job Requirements: To carry out R&D activities aligned with the project objectives, including performing experiments and computer simulations, data collection, compilation, & analysis, and research report writing.

Desirable Qualification/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical / Chemical Engineering, or equivalent, with expertise in fluid mechanics and Computational fluid dynamics.

Terms and Conditions

• Candidates should not have exceeded 35 years of age as on the last date of receiving the applications, i.e., 14.05.2026.
• Only those candidates who have acquired the essential qualification and whose results have been declared are eligible to apply.
• The period of experience in a discipline/area of work, wherever prescribed, shall be counted after acquiring the minimum prescribed educational qualifications for that post.
• The applicants will be subjected to shortlisting by a designated committee, and shortlisted candidates will be displayed on the CSIR-CFTRI website.
• No TA/DA will be given for attending the interview.
• Candidates who have completed 6 years in CSIR projects are NOT ELIGIBLE to apply.
• Relaxation in the age limit for SC/ST/PwBD/Women and OBC candidates shall be 05 years and 03 years, respectively.
