Position Summary

The objective of this position is to execute analytical testing operations for different projects received from global R&D consumer sites as per established requirements and quality standards. In addition, the responsibility also includes related documentation, laboratory activities, collaboration with internal teams and participation in training programs

Principal Responsibilities

Analysis of assigned samples

  1. Planning of assigned analysis
  2. To perform timely analysis of raw material, release and stability samples as per correct specification and accuracy of data
  3. To perform any other analytical testing as per request such as method development and validation, method transfer, etc.
  4. To use and maintain the equipment as per requirements.
  5. Review of laboratory notebooks and LIMS entries as designated by supervisor
  6. Preparation of technical documents such as analytical reports, protocols, etc.
  7. Participate in handling and resolution of laboratory non-conformances with related documentation
  8. Implement corrective actions as required.

GMP, EHS and procedural compliance

  1. Ensure compliance to quality standards , EHS and GMP requirements during work
  2. Review of calibration records, as required.
  3. Participate in internal and external audits as required
  4. Preparation of SOPs, test methods, etc.
  5. Perform equipment calibration as required
  6. Participate in training sessions and inform supervisor of training requirements

Analytical data review

  1. Review of laboratory notebooks and LIMS entries as designated by supervisor
  2. Preparation of technical documents such as analytical reports, protocols, etc.

KNOWLEDGE SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:  Describe the minimum knowledge, skill and ability requirements for the position.  Include any degrees or certifications which are required and/or desirable:
  • MA/MS in Chemistry / Pharmacy
  • 6 to 8 years of Experience
  • Ability to plan and perform analytical testing for various R&D projects with compliant operations. Knowledgeable about analytical techniques, regulatory guidelines for scope of work, J&J procedures, data review skills and technical documentation requirements.
  • Awareness about instrumentation, stability testing, method development and validation analysis
  • Adequate knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, latest regulatory trends, and global regulations pertaining to area of work
  • Prepare accurate and complete technical documentation
