Project Title: Design, synthesis and application of carbon-metal oxide/zeolite-metal oxide hybrid materials

Duration: Three year
Qualifications: M.Sc. Chemistry with at least 6.5 CGPA on a 10 point scale or 60% marks and having passed NET (CSIR/UGC)/ NET (LS)/ GATE (>75 percentile) test. Only very hard working, highly motivated and enthusiastic students are advised to apply.
Job Description: This project aims towards the development of carbon-metal oxide/zeolite-metal oxide hybrid materials for photo catalytic and catalytic investigations for fine chemical synthesis. A student working in this project will be trained to synthesize various types of structure directing agents, carbon, metal oxides and zeolite nanomaterials. These materials will be investigated in different catalytic and photo catalytic applications. Additionally, the student will
also learn how to use various spectroscopic and spectrometric techniques for the characterization of these novel materials.Fellowship: As per DST rules (I & II year – Rs. 25,000/- p.m; III year – Rs. 28,000/- p.m).
