The National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education & Research (NIPER) is an Institute of National importance established by an Act of Parliament under the aegis of Department of Pharmaceuticals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. The Institute has excellent facilities for advanced education and research in pharmaceutical sciences and is looking for teaching and non- teaching staff of high degree of knowledge and willing to contribute in building this institute as one of the best centres of excellence. Presently the Institute is running M.S (Pharm.) and Ph.D Programmes and planning to expand further.

The Institute has openings for the following Teaching and Non- Teaching positions on contract basis:
Position 1
Post Title : Assistant Professor
Specialization: Biotechnology, Medicinal Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Analysis, Pharmaceutics
Biotechnology Qualification:
- Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Sc./M.Pharm/M.S.Pharm ) in Biotechnology/Biochemistry/Microbiology with a very good academic record throughout.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience post Ph.D in downstreamprocessing, biochemical engineering, enzymology, immunology, cell signalling, protein purificationand high throughput screening. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered
- Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement
Medicinal Chemistry Qualification:
- Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Sc./M.Pharm/M.S.Pharm ) in Medicinal Chemistry/Biochemistry/ Organic Chemistry with a very good academic record throughout.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience post Ph.Ddesign, synthesis and lead optimization of novel chemical entities (NCEs) to develop potent, selective and stable analogues for the treatment ofcancer and diabetes with experience in modern chromatographic purification techniques. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered
- Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement
Pharmaceutical Analysis Qualification:
- Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.Sc/M.S Pharm /M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutical Analysis/ Analytical Chemistry/ Bioanalytical Chemistry with a verygood academic record throughout.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience post Ph.D in developmentand validation of analytical / bioanalytical methods for various drug substances andproducts/biological samples, degradation pathways and synthesis / characterization of organic. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered .Candidates should be familiar withregulatory guidelines like ICH, FDA, MHRA, WHO, GMP, GLP etc.
- Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement
Pharmaceutics Qualification:
- Ph. D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree (M.S Pharm / M.Pharm) in Pharmaceutics/ Pharmaceutical Technology formulations with a very good academic record throughout.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of Teaching / Research / Industrial experience post Ph.D in Pharmaceutical product development, novel and or targeted drug delivery systems, solid state characterization, analytical and bioanalytical techniques etc. Experience gained during or before Ph.D Degree will not be considered.
- Age: Maximum 45 Years as on date of advertisement
Position 2
Post Title:Â Technical Asst
Specialization: Bioinformatics
Qualification: M.Sc Bioinformatics with 60% marks.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience on genomic / transcriptomic data analysis in a reputed institute / university.
Age: Maximum 35 Years as on date of advertisement
Salary: Consolidated salary at par with 6th pay commission scales.
Tenure: All appointments are purely contractual and temporary in nature and same is renewable depending upon performance and sole discretion of the management. The candidate will have no right to claim for regularization of the post. The competent authority may relax experience and age for exceptionally meritorious candidates.

- Candidates shall have to produce original testimonials at the time of interview, failing which they may not be allowed to appear in interview.
- The names, addresses and occupations of three referees must be given in the application form and they should be familiar with your recent work and at least one of themshould be your superior. The nature of past and present duties is required to be mentioned in detail.
