About the role
Location: Tumkur
Reporting to: Assistant Manager – Quality Assurance
The person in this role performs standard analyses according to procedures in a general shift system at the QC laboratory.
Key responsibilities:
- Preprocessing the samples to be examined.
- Preparing reagents, setting titters, calibrating various instruments.
- Maintaining lab equipment, performing simple repairs on the equipment.
- Performing chemical/physical analyses including various wet chemical tests.
- Maintaining the workplace in the laboratories by housekeeping or 5S.
- Preparing samples for pre-shipment, regulatory requirements, and external testing.
- Taking care of the administration and reporting of performed tasks:
- Registering the receipt of samples and chemicals.
- Archiving samples and analysis results.
- Reporting deviations.
Qualifications and skills
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry (PCM discipline is preferable).
- Able to work as part of a team but also capable of working independently and making decisions.
Experience:
- 1-2 years of experience in analytical wet lab.
Skills:
- Practical experience in handling natural products and herbal extracts.
- Knowledge of wet lab activity, physical parameters of dry powder.
- Knowledge of QC testing equipment and methods, (preferably including UV-spectroscopy, pH meter, and analytical microbalance).
- Initiative and self-motivated.
- Basic knowledge of computer operation and MS Office.
