RECRUITMENT FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR RESEARCH FELLOW (JRF) ON EXTERNALLY FUNDED PROJECT
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Thiruvananthapuram is one of the premier science education and research institutes established by the Government of India in 2008 to impart high-quality education integrated with outstanding research in modern science. The Institute invites applications for the following positions on contract basis:
Name of Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Title of the project: “Carbonyl activation using late-transition metal-hydride complexes (H-M-L-X-H) (X = O, N) containing hydrogen bond donor ligands”
Funding Agency: SERB (SRG/2023/001701)
Minimum Educational qualification (as prescribed by the funding agency)
MSc Chemistry or equivalent with a minimum of 65%. SC/ST candidates 60%
Desirable qualifications
(i) CSIR-UGC NET or Lectureship / GATE qualified in the last two years
(ii) Prior experience in Organometallic chemistry especially Glove box handling and Schlenk techniques
(iii) NMR, IR spectroscopic data analysis and routine laboratory techniques (Column Chromatography, crystallization techniques, reaction set-up)
Number of posts: 1
Fellowship amount: Rs. 31,000 + 8% HRA (Rs.2480)
Tenure of the post: 8 months
Age: 26 Years. Age relaxation for SC/ST and physically challenged candidates are applicable
