Job Title:Â Assistant Professor (Physical Chemistry)
Place of Posting: The place of posting will be National Sugar Institute, Kanpur (UP), but
liable to be posted anywhere in India.
Number of posts: 1 (One)
Classification of post: Group ‘A’ Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post
Pay Scale: Level-11 of the Pay Matrix (PB-3: Rs. 15,600-39,100 + Grade Pay Rs. 6,600/-, as per 6th CPC)
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation shall be not
exceeding 56 years as on the closing date for receipt of applications.\
Eligibility conditions for appointment on deputation (including short term contract)Â basis:
Officers under the Central Government/ State Governments/ Union Territory
Administrations/ Public Sector Undertakings/ Universities/ Recognized Research Institutions/ Semi-Government/ Autonomous bodies or Statutory Organizations:-
(i) holding analogous posts on a regular basis
in the parent cadre/ department; or(ii) with five years’ service in the grade rendered after appointment thereto on a regular
basis in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix or equivalent, in the parent cadre/ department; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualifications and experience:-
Essential:-
(i) Post-Graduate degree in Chemistry with specialisation in Physical Chemistry from a
recognized University/ Institute.
(ii) three years’ research/ practical/ teaching experience at degree level in Chemistry with
specialization in Physical Chemistry;
OR
(b)(i) Ph.D. in Chemistry from a recognised University/ Institute.
(ii) one years’ research/ practical/ teaching experience at degree level in Chemistry with
specialization in Physical Chemistry.
Desirable:-
(i) Experience in any Sugar factory or distillery or Industrial units.
(ii) Experience of guiding research work in Physical Chemistry.
Pay Scale: The Departmental Junior Scientific Officers (Physical Chemistry) in Level-10 (Rs. 56,100-1,77,500) in pay matrix, possessing five years’ regular service in the grade will also be considered along with outsiders. In case of his selection to the post, it shall be deemed to have been filled on promotion.
Duties attached to the post:
(i) Teaching, Research and Advisory.
(ii) Any other work assigned by Senior Officers/ Director.
