National Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (NIPERs) have been created by an act of Parliament and each institute is an autonomous body functioning under the Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP), Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Govt. of India. Having been declared as “Institutes of National Importance”. NIPERs have been contributing to the growth of the Pharmaceutical Education and Research to meet the country’s progress towards skilled professionals in the pharmaceutical industry. Applications are invited from the eligible and suitable Indian nationals for the position of Project Research Scientist-I on a purely contractual basis.

Project Title: Development of novel 2-amino pyrimidine based molecular hybrids as selective CDK-9 inhibitors
Vacancy: 01 (one) – UR (unreserved)
Emoluments: Rs. 56,000/- + HRA (15,120/-) = Rs. 71,120/- initial appointment will be for one year, which is extendable up to 3 years based on performance only. The position is temporary and co-terminus with the project

Minimum Qualification: The candidate must have first class in postgraduate degree with Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry or Medicinal/Pharmaceutical/ Process Chemistry area
Desirable Qualifications: The candidate should have 1 – 2 years’ experience in synthetic organic chemistry especially in multi-step synthesis. Experience in modern characterization techniques including chromatography, spectroscopy (UV, IR, NMR, HRMS etc.) is required. Preference will be given to the candidates with experience in multi-step synthesis, synthetic methodologies, in silico studies and good publication track record in peer-reviewed journals.
