Applications are invited from highly motivated and bright candidates for engagement of Research Associate-1 (RA-1) in the research project funded by the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali.
Title of the Research Project: “Computational Modelling of Spin and Charge Transfer at Biomolecule-Material Interfaces”

Principal Investigator: Prof. Md. Ehesan Ali, Scientist-F
Name of the position available: Research Associate 1 (RA-1)
Number of positions available: One
Essential Qualifications: PhD or equivalent degree or four years of research experience after M.Sc/ME/M.Tech with at least two research papers in Science Citation Indexed (SCI) Journal.
Desirable Experience: Research experience in Computational Chemistry/Computational Physics/Computational Biology. Experience in Density Functional Theory (DFT), post-Hartree-Fockbased multireference methods such as CASSCF/NEVPT2 and/or classical/ab initio molecular dynamics (MD) simulations.
Age limit: Must not be over 35 years as of 25th November 2023, which is relaxable for certain reserved categories as per the rules of the Government of India.
Fellowship: Rs. 47,000/- (pm) + HRA as
applicable.Last date of receipt of application: 25.11.2023
Duration: Initially one year and may be extended based on the candidate’s performance and availability of funds.
General Terms and Conditions:
- The position is temporary, contractual, and renewable each year, subject to satisfactory performance until the Project’s duration. The position is co-terminus with the project.
- No TA/DA will be paid for attending the interview.
- Original documents of age proof/certificates/degrees/mark sheets and other testimonials must be presented along with the self-attested photocopies of these documents at the time of the interview.
