SAIL Apprenticeship 2026 Eligibility Criteria
- Candidates who have completed the qualifying examination as regular candidates are ONLY eligible to apply.
- Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination in the last five years (2022, 2023, 2024, 2025 & 2026) are ONLY eligible.
- Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying examination but whose results have not been declared/available as of the last date of application are NOT eligible.
- Candidates who had undergone apprenticeship training or are currently undergoing apprenticeship training under any establishment or job experience for a period of ONE year are NOT eligible.
- Minimum age is NOT less than 18 years and maximum age is 28 years as of 31 October 2026.
- Reservation as per the guidelines of the Government of Chhattisgarh shall be followed with applicable age relaxation.
How to Apply:
- For ITI: Candidates must register on the web portal apprenticeshipindia.org. After registration, candidates can log in to the apprenticeship portal, search for SAIL Bhilai Steel Plant, and apply for the respective trade.
- For Degree/Diploma: Candidates should register as a student online on nats.education.gov.in. After successful registration, candidates can apply for their respective branches of engineering. Candidates applying for SAIL Apprenticeship 2026 through NATS should complete registration before selecting their branch.
Walk-in Details:
- The walk-in interviews will take place from 27 October 2026 to 21 November 2026 at Room No 123, HRDC Bhilai Steel Plant, Chhattisgarh 490001.
Documents Required:
- Self-attested copy of Matriculation certificate for DOB verification.
- Self-attested copy of Provisional Pass Certificate.
- Self-attested copy of SC/ST/OBC/PH Certificate.
- Self-attested copy of Aadhaar Card/Passbook (e-KYC Validation Mandatory).
- Medical Fitness Certificate from the Government Hospital.
- Apprentice Registration copy from NAPS/NATS Portal.
Selection Process:
- Selection will be based on academic merit through a walk-in process, assigning 30% weightage to Class-X marks and 70% weightage to Degree/Diploma/ITI examination marks.

- SAIL will not provide accommodation or travel allowance during the training. Candidates are responsible for ensuring that their information is accurate during registration. The management reserves the right to cancel the selection process at any time.
