Job Experience: 3 – 5 years of working experience in relevant industry is preferable.
Job Objective
The main objective of this role is to oversee the bulk procurement of a complete range of raw materials (solvents and chemicals) for TCG Life Sciences. This includes managing multi-location requirements and ensuring timely availability of materials.
Job Description
- Raw Material Sourcing and Procurement: Responsible for sourcing and procuring raw materials such as solvents, dry chemicals, and reagents. Develop and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Vendor Coordination: Coordinate with vendors to ensure production and project schedules are met. Negotiate with vendors for favorable pricing, timely availability, quality, and quantity.
- Vendor Performance: Monitor vendor performance and develop alternate vendors to ensure the quality and optimum stock level of input materials within the given budget costs.
- Compliance: Ensure 100% compliance with the company’s laid down policies and standard operating procedures (SOP).
- Business Need: Define terms like lead time, lot size, pack size, etc., and gather information on the business needs for raw materials.
- Market Intelligence: Possess adequate market intelligence on chemical trends, cost drivers, and identify risks. Provide forecasts on future changes that may impact delivery, availability, and prices.
- Vendor Development: Develop new vendors for key raw materials, considering their economics, supplier capacities, and technical competencies.
