Applications are invited for the position of Junior Research Fellow (PI: Dr. Kalaivanan Nagarajan) in the Department of Chemical Sciences (DCS), TIFR, Mumbai. Number of post: 1
Name of the Post: Junior Research Fellow (JRF)
Nature & Period of the Post: Initially the offer is for one year and is extendable for another year as JRF based on evaluation.
Age: Preferably below 28 years on 01.07.2023
Fellowship: Rs.31000/- (JRF) + HRA per month
Essential: M.Sc. in Chemistry / Physics / Material Science or related fields with minimum 60% marks. Qualified through UGC-CSIR NET, GATE or equivalent National level Ph.D entrance tests in Chemistry / Physics, such as, JEST/TIFR-GS final written test etc.
Desirable:
Research experience in physical chemistry, material science and Spectroscopy; Knowledge in optical properties of materials and Fourier Transform techniques are added bonuses.
JRF Requirement:
The JRF will be involved in understanding the role of light matter strong coupling in modifying the physical and chemical properties of the materials.
