Job Title: (Associate) Content Editor
Hours of Work
9 hours per day (Full-time) – including one hour break
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Eligbility Criteria: M.Sc Chemistry / Polymer Chemistry / B.E Polymer Technology
Work experience: Freshers preferred, or one – two years of experience in related domain.
Comprehensive knowledge of chemistry/polymer, include chemical nomenclature, reactions, formulae, catalysts, additives and their functions.
Knowledge in chemical drawing packages, e.g., ISIS Draw

What will you be doing in this role?
- Extract the novel information from patent and value-add by using DWPI codes in line with editorial policies and conventions.
- Achieve production volume and quality targets.
- Maintain a flexible and adaptable approach towards process change.
- To take responsibility for identifying technology training and developmental needs for yourself on an on-going basis.
As a member of the Chemistry Team, you will be involved in extracting the novel scientific information from patents and value-add using DWPI codes in line with editorial policies and conventions.
We are looking for an (Associate) Content Editor to join our Chemistry team in Chennai/Hyderabad. This is an amazing opportunity to work on Derwent. - Can you tell us about your educational background in Chemistry and how it qualifies you for this position?
Answer: I hold an M.Sc. in Chemistry, and my studies have equipped me with comprehensive knowledge of chemistry, including chemical nomenclature, reactions, formulae, catalysts, additives and their functions, as well as hands-on experience with chemical drawing packages such as ISIS Draw. 4. Can you give us an example of how you have demonstrated your analytical and logical thinking skills in your previous experience?
Answer: During my internship, I was tasked with analyzing a new polymer material’s properties and testing it for its potential applications in various industries. To do this, I designed a series of experiments, collected data, and analyzed the results to identify trends and correlations. I used my logical thinking skills to identify the root cause of any anomalies or inconsistencies in the data and proposed solutions to overcome them.
5. How do you ensure that you achieve production volume and quality targets in your work?
Answer: To achieve production volume and quality targets, I prioritize my work, plan my schedule, and set achievable deadlines. I also ensure that I adhere to editorial policies and conventions while extracting information from patents and adding value using DWPI codes. Additionally, I review my work to identify any errors or inconsistencies and make necessary corrections before submitting it for approval.
