Job Title: Sr. Engineer / Asst. Manager – Technical expert, Materials Engineering [ PS/ETC-IN]
Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India
Eligibility Criteria:
B.E., / M. Tech in Chemical/ Polymer / Metallurgy Engineering with approximately 2-4 overall experience in the automotive industry is a must
Additional Information
- Understanding of Electric / Diesel / Gasoline system components
- Good knowledge on chemicals, the chemistry of corrosion, Biodiesel, Ethanol, and e-fuels.
- Knowledge about SEM analysis & Fractography
- In-depth understanding of fuel influence on component functionality
- Exposure to product development processes and project management processes
- Hands-on experience in reliability testing, evaluation concepts
- Willingness to business travel (inland and worldwide) in short notice
- Strong analytical & problem-solving abilities
- Good communication, presentation, and networking skills.
- Laboratory management system as per ISO 17025

- Analysis of Materials for Electric / Diesel / Gasoline / Alternate fuel system components
- Corrosion analysis and investigations
- Corrosion impact on product / component functionality
- Corrosion protection areas Surface engineering, materials evaluations
- Analysis of Corrosion damages and derivation of corrosion mechanisms. interaction with product development
- Electrochemical and anodic corrosion
- Corrosive – Creep phenomena
- H2 induced Corrosion behaviors
- Analysis of alternate fuels
- CAFE and FAME policies understanding and impact on product development
- Fuel aging phenomena and impact on elastomers
- Injector nozzle coking analysis
- Interaction with internal product champions regarding specific clarifications/issues on corrosion and fuel engineering topics
- Creation of development and customer reports
- Networking, interaction and interface with Corrosion and Fuel Engineering experts worldwide and cross-division through Bosch Experts Organization
- Handle internal/external audits
