Job Title: Lab Chemist- Senior Research Assistant
Job Location: Bangalore
Department: Process R&D
Educational Qualification:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry
Technical/Functional Skills:
• Basic knowledge of organic chemistry.
• Good communication skills
• Able to interpret MSDS
• Required to work in Shifts
Experience:
• 3-6 years post qualification
Behavioural Skills:
• Should have the capability to work in a team and ability to handle demonstrate a good team spirit.
• While possessing a good ability to follow instruction should also demonstrate innovative in his/her approach, good communication skills.
• Should be proactive while working on allotted responsibility.
Job Purpose
Purpose of this role is to support lab activities in-process R&D department
Key Responsibilities:
• Assisting chemist for various lab activities such as
- Setting up reaction setup using an overhead stirrer
- Operating rotary evaporator, performing TLC
- Workup
- Column chromatography
- Monitoring experiments
• Follow all environmental and lab safety-related guidelines within the company premises including wearing PPE
Personal Protective Equipment] at work.• Ensuring quick and uninterrupted support to Process development lab activities.
• Addressing the information requests from scientists, other cross-functional departments for day to day activities.
• Documentation/ interpersonal relationship & communication skills
• Ensure effective and timely communication of the Operational progress to the supervisors.
• Possess the knowledge and exposure to the environment, health, and safety (EHS) practices
• Follow environment, health, and safety (EHS) requirements at all times in the workplace ensuring individual and lab/plant safety
• Ensure environment, health, and safety (EHS) measures are imparted via training and adhered within the team
