ICRISAT invites applications from dynamic Indian nationals for the post of Research Technician – Innovation Systems for the Drylands. This position is based at ICRISAT Headquarters, near Greater Hyderabad, Telangana State, India. This position reports to Scientist-In-Charge – in a multiple projects from Crop Production Systems of Semi-Arid Tropics carried out in multi-lateral collaborations.

Responsibilities:
- Manage, maintain and undertake measurements at different phenotyping platforms from ICRISAT’s on-station experiment (Headquarters, Patancheru)
- Conduct agronomic field experiments independently as per the requirements of the projects
- Periodical sampling, processing and analysis of soil and plant material from field experiments
- Operation and maintenance of analytical laboratory equipment, data collection, organization and data quality control, basic data analysis skills are advantage
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Sciences/Soil Science/Chemistry or possess an equivalent qualification (analytical chemistry skills/large data management skills are an advantage).
- Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
- Proficiency in Computer skills (MS-Office, Data Management and Processing)
- Strong organization skills, punctuality, independence, and proactiveness are essential
- Steep learning curve necessary
- She/he to be a good team player, comfortable working in multicultural & multidisciplinary team
- Driving licence is an advantage
