Online applications are invited from Indian Citizen and such other national as declared eligible by Government of India for recruitment to the 88 posts of Inspector of Drugs under Directorate of Drugs control, Health & Family Welfare Department, Government of West Bengal. Only online registration of Application will be allowed on the website between 29.02 2016 to 09.03.2016 ( before 8 PM ). Posts are temporary but likely to be permanent in future.
The relevant rules and necessary particulars are stated in the following paragraph : A candidate should verify from the notified rules that he/ she is eligible. The condition prescribed cannot be relaxed. The recruitment will be made by selection but where a large number of applications are received, as a result of Advertisement, the Board may , for the purpose of short-listing, hold a preliminary examination.
Scale of Pay: Rs. 15600/- — Rs. 42000/- ,[ Grade Pay – Rs. 5400/-].
Other allowances will also be admissible as per Government order in force.

Qualification :
A. Essential :
i) A
Degree in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Chemistry or Medicine with specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology from a University established in India by Law andii) Experience of work in recognized institutions in the manufacture or testing of drugs or enforcement of the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940 ) for a minimum total period of five years :
Provided that the specialization in Clinical Pharmacology or Microbiology shall have to be certified by the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine of the concerned University and the experience in the manufacture of drugs or experience in the Testing of Drugs or experience in the enforcement of the provisions of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act, 1940 (23 of 1940); for a minimum total period of five years has to be certified by the Head of the recognized Institution wherefrom the said experience was obtained.
Age : Age is also relaxable by 5 years for SC and ST candidates of West Bengal, by 3 years for OBC candidates of West Bengal and up to 45 years of age for persons having physical disabilities for 40% and above. : Not more than 35 Years as on 1st. January, 2016, the age limit being relaxable in the case of persons who are already in permanent Government service or who possess exceptional qualifications.
NOTE: 1) The applicant must be a citizen of India or such a person of other nationality as declared eligible by Government of India.
       2) Age – As recorded in Madhyamik or equivalent certificate will only be acceptable;
       3) The claim of candidates for relaxation of age as a permanent Govt. employee should be proved by a certificate from the appointing authority showing the period of his/ her continuous service under Government of West Bengal.
Fee : Candidates must submit the application fee amounting to Rs. 210/- (Rupees two hundred ten only) through Bank Counter in any branch of Banks participating in the GRIPS ( Govt. Receipt Portal System ), Govt. of West Bengal through duplicate challan, as generated after filling up the online application Form. Govt. Receipt Head of Account is ‘ 0051-00-104- 002-16’.
