About the Institute
CSIR–Innovation Complex, Mumbai (C-ICM) operates under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. The institute focuses on world-class translational research and incubation capabilities. It supports advanced research in ADME-PK, Toxicology, Bioanalysis, and Life Sciences innovation. C-ICM aims to strengthen industry-academia collaboration in scientific development. These research jobs are purely project-based and contractual. The project duration is three years, and positions are based in Mumbai.
Available Research Positions
1. Senior Project Associate-II (Associate Analytical Chemistry) – 01 Position
- Essential Qualification:
(i) Master’s/Integrated Masters in Degree from recognized university or equivalent in
Analytical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical Chemistry/Life Sciences
And 3 years of experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions, or science & technology organizations, and scientific activities, and services in the above areas
OR
(ii)Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine inthe above areas from a
recognized University or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry/ Pharmaceutical
Chemistry/Life Sciences And 3 years of experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations, scientific activities, and services in the above areas
OR
(iii) Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engineering or Technology in the areas mentioned
in (i) above from a recognized University, and 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or science & technology organizations, and scientific activities, and services in areas such as
mentioned in (i) above
OR
(iv) Doctoral degree in Science/Pharma/MD/MS in areas as mentioned in (i) above from
a recognized University or equivalent
And 2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions, or science & technology organizations, and scientific activities and services in areas such as
mentioned in (i) above
- Desirable Qualification: Hands-on experience in operation, troubleshooting, and interpretations of data/observations of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like (LCMS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR, etc.), preferably in the area of ADME-PK/Tox. Candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox.
- Stipend: Rs. 42,000.00 plus HRA
- Age Limit: 40 Years
2. Project Associate–II (Bioanalytical) – 01 Position
- Post Code: PAT-II-1
- Qualification: (i)Master’s/Integrated Master’s Degree from a recognized university or equivalent in
Analytical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/ Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences.
And
2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or
science & technology organizations and scientific activities, and services
OR
(ii) Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or Medicine from a recognized
university or equivalent in Analytical Chemistry/Pharmaceutical Analysis/
Pharmaceutical Sciences/Life Sciences.
And
2 years’ experience in research & development in industrial and academic institutions or
science & technology organizations and scientific activities, and services
OR
(iii) Master’s/Integrated Master’s in Engineering or Technology in the areas mentioned
in (i) above from a recognized University - Desirable: Hands-on Experience in the ADME-PK/Tox area in the operation and troubleshooting of modern spectroscopic and chromatographic instruments like (LC-MS/MS, GCMS/MS, HPLC, ICPMS, NMR, etc.). The candidate is expected to have knowledge of the requirements of
regulatory guidelines relevant to ADME-PK/Tox - Stipend: Rs. 35,000 + HRA (for NET/GATE qualified candidates), Rs. 28,000 + HRA (for others).

General Conditions for these Research Jobs
- The date of determining qualification and age shall be the last date of submission of the application form.
- Age relaxation as per Government of India/ funding agency norms: Upper age limit is relaxable up to 5 years in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes, Divyangjan (PWD), and female applicants, whereas 3 years in case of OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) candidates.
- The engagement of selected candidates shall be temporary and co-terminus with the tenure of the project.
- The engagement may be terminated at any time with a notice of one month from either side or one month stipend in lieu thereof.
- The project staff may be required to travel as needed.
