PI Industries Chemist Job Description
This formulation chemist role will be responsible for formulation development, preparation of samples, and providing basic data to supervisors for the smooth functioning of formulation development activities. This includes arranging raw materials, maintaining equipment and records, and ensuring good housekeeping and 5S activities in the lab.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain document/record for trials conducted.
- Participate in meetings and provide inputs as required by the department head.
- Arrange raw materials from the store.
- Perform calculations for the execution of experiments.
- Conduct trials as per supervisor instructions and maintain records/observations.
- Provide backup calculations and data for experiments.
- Handle and maintain equipment.
- Attend training programs for safety and equipment/instrument handling.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Education Qualification: M.Sc Chemistry (Preferred – Agrochemical And Pesticides)
- Work Experience: 0 – 3 years
- Industry to be Hired from: Agrochemical / Chemical
Required Skills:
- Knowledge of major formulation types used in agrochemicals (EC, SC, OD, SL, WDG, WP).
- Research approach.
- Experience conducting trials in the kilo/pilot plant.
- Broad knowledge of experimental chemical techniques with a background in formulation development within the crop protection industry.
