Job Description
Role Purpose:
An expert in Company Intelligence team updates databases with minimal supervision and is responsible for carrying out data aggregation around company’s sales, financials, broker data as well as drug attributes. Carries out research and analysis of marketed and late-stage R&D products of pharmaceutical companies to cover information on clinical trial data, patents, and approval timelines. Owns, manages, and develops the database/analytics tool/dashboard, improves the capabilities of current databases and tools. Supports analysts/editors in research and quantitative projects.
Principal Accountabilities:
- Gathers and analyzes information from multiple secondary and internal IQVIA sources.
- Researches and analyzes critical components of top pharmaceutical companies worldwide – includes sales data analytics, financial statement reporting, M&A tracking.
- Maintains current knowledge of relevant product news from outside sources.
- Analyzes complex specialist information to generate updates for databases.
- Develops and maintains company and drug revenue models (analyst forecasts).
- Liaises with internal stakeholders on an ongoing basis and consistently delivers quality output.
- Ensures proper documentation of all project-related activities and keeps these documents up-to-date.
- Timely delivery of all the projects/activities.
- Manages processes independently.
- Actively drives and/or participates in existing product enhancement and process improvement initiatives, new product development ideas.
Minimum Education, Experience, & Specialized Knowledge Required:
Education:
- Master’s degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences or Life Sciences.
Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytics.
Skills:
- Strong analytical, data interpretation, and insight generation capabilities.
- Excellent secondary research skills and knowledge of various sources like regulatory agency websites, etc.
- Pipeline creation, validation, and clinical trial analysis.
- Well-versed with basic company financials and understanding company reports (e.g., 10-Q, 10-K, 20-F, press releases, and investor presentations).
- Good understanding of the commercial pharmaceutical market, major companies, latest trends, and therapy areas.
- Excellent project management skills (potential to work with multiple data sets at any given time).
- Proficient in MS Office (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledge and prior experience of IQVIA Health databases.
Good to have skills:
- Experience compiling analyst consensus forecasts (experience in using equity broker/analyst reports).
- Experience working with Financial Statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements).
