Open internship position at Indian Institute of Science (IISc) (only final year undergraduate OR final year master’s degree candidate in ChemicalEngineering/ MechanicalEngineering): The Sustainable Separation Solutions (S3) Laboratory at IISc Bangalore is partnering with Rice University, USA, to develop a solar-driven membrane system for solvent recovery. Solvent recovery is critical to achieve circularity in industries such as pharma and other chemicals industries where organic solvents such as ethanol, acetone, and several others, are used as reaction media; in such applications, used solvents must be recovered and reused instead of being discarded to the environment.
In case of a successful internship for 3-6 months, the candidate will be considered strongly for a PhD position in the group.
