Eligibility and desirable criteria for one Fellow/ Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) position under the ICMR Extramural Research – Small Grant (Purely temporary basis) (Department of Medical Devices)
Applications are invited from the eligible candidates for the position of fellow/ project research scientist-i (non-medical) under an ICMR-funded project entitled “Affordable paper-based point-of-care device for rapid detection of glycocalyx markers for sepsis patients in the intensive care unit.” the project is between NIPER, Hyderabad, and Employees State Insurance (ESI) Medical College and Super Specialty Hospital, Hyderabad.

Position: Fellow/ Project Research Scientist-I (Non-Medical) (01)
Project Duration: Three years
Salary: Rs. 71,120/- per month
Qualifications:
Essential:
- First-class post-graduate degree (M.Sc./MS/Ph.D.) in Life Sciences/ Chemistry. An
experience of 1 to 2 years and GATE/NET qualifications will be an added advantage. In
exceptional cases, candidates with less experience can be considered. - First-class post-graduate degree (M.Tech.) in Biomedical Engineering/ Bioengineering/
Biotechnology/ Medical Devices. GATE/NET qualification with experience in the
relevant area will be an added advantage.
Desirable:
- Experience/Knowledge in analytical chemistry, spectroscopy, especially electrochemistry
- Experience/Knowledge in working with lateral flow/paper-based devices and ELISA
- Knowledge of imaging and image processing

- Expected date of Interview: 08th of March 2024, preferably physically*
- Expected date of joining the project: 15th of March 2024
