CALL FOR RESEARCH STAFF (JRF) POSITION

About: Applications are invited from interested and motivated candidates for the post of Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a time-bound research project sponsored by the BRNS (No. 58/14/16/2023-BRNS/12176) for a temporary period purely on a contractual basis as per the following details:

Project Title: Design and Syntheses of Supramolecularly-functionalized Porphyrin-Based Efficient Photosensitizers

Funding Agency: Board of Research in Nuclear Sciences (BRNS)

Dr. Dalip Kumar, Department of Chemistry (PI) and
Dr. Madhushree Sarkar, Department of Chemistry (Co-PI)

Project Tenure: 3 Years

Job Description: The fellow is expected to carry out synthesis, characterization, and study Porphyrin-Based Efficient Photosensitizers

Qualification: The candidate must hold an M.Sc degree in Chemistry (with a minimum of 55% marks). Candidates with specialization in Organic Chemistry will be preferred. GATE/NET SCORE is not mandatory; however, candidates having GATE/NET score will be preferred. Experience in organic synthesis will be an added advantage.

Desirable: GATE/NET qualified

Upper Age Limit: Age not exceeding 30 years as

of the date of the interview. Age relaxation is allowed up to 5 years for SC/ST/PH/OBC/WOMEN candidates.

Fellowship:

  • ₹37,000 Per month for the First 2 years as JRF
  • ₹42,000 Per month for the Third year as SRF (if found eligible)

Registration for PhD.: Selected candidates may be permitted to register for the PhD program of BITS Pilani, subject to fulfilling the requirements of the PhD qualification process as per the institute norms.
