Job Title : Chemist – Production
Location: Gajraula
Job Summary: To ensure the shift plant operation as per SOP’s and work instructions
Reports to: Shift In-charge & Section In-Charge
Team Size: NA
Eligbility Criteria & Experience: Diploma – Chemical Engineer or B.Sc. or M. Sc with 3 – 5 years of experience in Continuous chemical process / batch process (High pressure reaction).
Key Competencies:
- Operating knowledge of Continuous chemical process/ batch process.
- Working knowledge of Reactors, filters, centrifuges in the batch process.
- Adherence to quality / Safety norms.
- Knowledge of DCS / PLC based plant operation.
- Knowledge of distillation operation (Batch)
- Material handling (Toxic / hazardous/ pyrophoric))
- Knowledge of MSDS
Personal Characteristics: Good Interpersonal & Analytical Skills
Collaboration & Co-ordination
Job Profile
- Operation of High pressure reactor with different type of reactions (Dosing, hydrogenation etc.)
- Operating the plant as per the instruction of the SIC.
- Operation and cleaning of equipment’s used in the process area.
- On line monitoring of the environment conditions in process area.
- To note down all the plant reading regularly & reporting deviation from the standard practices to Shift in-charge immediately.
- Taking raw material transfer.
- Loading / unloading of the material from drums, tanks and receives as per the instructions.
- Perform packing, labeling activities as per SOP of FG / SFG.
Collecting all the process samples as per instructions of shift in-charge along with all necessary safety precautions. - To maintain Safety of man and machine and housekeeping of the plant.
- Ensuring strict adherence to the permit system.
- Following & fill check sheets of WCM/TPM.
- Awareness about responsible care (Environment, Health, Safety and Security)
- Awareness of EnMS System & focus on energy saving
- In addition to the above jobs, the HOD may assign with any other responsibility as and when required.
